Hooch

Brindle Male
Adoption Pending
Special Needs
Whelped: Jan 28, 2010 and is 2 Years 3 Months Old
Brought into the rescue: Feb 25, 2012 and has been fostered for 2 Months 23 Days
Foster cared for at: Hampton Roads
About Hooch:
I am heart worm negative, up-to-date on shots, named after the movie Turner & Hooch, and will be available for adoption after March 23. I weigh 14 lbs and I am easy going and love to cuddle and be carried around. I was raised in a multi-child, single pug, single dog home, but I get along great with all of my foster pugs.
I was born with hind leg weakness making the ideal home a single story residence, but now that I have been getting a lot of exercise I can almost make it up the stairs on my own, needing some encouragement and lots of praise. By no means does this prevent me from walking and running around. It does take a little bit for my foster parents to realize when I need to do some business. In uncarpeted, close quarters I don't exactly get around elegantly, mostly with my front paws, but I am strong and getting stronger. So, my special needs are mostly patience, understanding, and the occasional pickup. I'll find out soon what the doctor has to say about that.
I hope that you feel that you have the patience to care for me and more importantly that you will take me in to your loving home.

About Oliver:
I am up-to-date on my shots and am heartworm negative. I don't expect to be able to go to a new home until at least the 25th of May.
I'm still adjusting to my foster home, so for now this is as much as I have to report.
If you think you might like to adopt me or one of my other fellow foster's, please fill out an adoption application. If you would like to help others like me, then also please fill out a volunteer application.
